Wherever you are in life, sometimes wisdom only comes from knowledge and that knowledge only comes after time. We can only know so much. Some things are kept from us because knowing them would only be detrimental toward our inward growth.

I'm learning things that only people who have gone through what I'm going through can understand. I observe people. Today I was observing from a different vantage point. I crossed a mental threshhold in my life. It's hard to go back to the way it was. It's like trying to unlearn to read.

When someone tries to make you feel inferior but nitpicking on your flaws and disadvantages, always remember that they, too, are looking through a glass darkly - A glass darkly looking at the outward appearance of your life. They don't see your emotions or your childhood; all they see is you in the now and they're looking through a window that is smaller than average. Not because of anything you've done, but because this is why we say some people are "narrow-minded." I won't pretend to understand what motivates people to make others feel inferior intentionally.

I always want to yell:

"YOU DON'T HAVE TO BLOW OUT SOMEONE ELSE'S CANDLE JUST TO MAKE YOURS BURN BRIGHTER!!!!!"

But should I waste that blowing to speak that phrase; will people understand? Are they the chaff to be discarded? are they the chaff already separated from the wheat? Will my attempt at reasoning with them make any difference?

I've been hearing a lot about repentance. When people honestly with their hearts come to Christ, Christ does a work in their hearts and He enables the ability to repent and turn from their old ways.

A person may be swayed by the world's ways, the bible says even the very elect will be deceived. Even so, Jesus is strong enough to turn a person back to Him.

Wherever you are in life, never forget to give God His due credit. And if you feel yourself slipping back into your old ways, Jesus is only a prayer away. He is as far as His Name is from your lips. Call on Him today and everyday.

Like the road to Emaus, I'm usually on the road. Also, my salvation was a bit like those traveling on the road. My past a little different, but the outcome always the same, because we serve an awesome indescribable God!. However you got saved and whoever you were before that, it does not compare to the majesty that is Jesus! His excellence is a better topic than our rags to riches stories! Yes, we are rags to riches! For My God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus! :-)
